Digital Technology in the Classroom

I would prefer to teach in a classroom that had more digital technology.  I would want to teach in a classroom with more digital technology because not only would it benefit me, but it would benefit the students as well.  I could use Tablet PCs as David Schroeder does to interact with students while teaching math.  This way, students have a hands-on approach and I, as the teacher, can reply to them more efficiently.  I could also use an electronic whiteboard to save the notes for a lesson that I teach.  This way a student who was absent could see the actual notes from the board.  Another form of technology that I could use to improve my classroom environment is clickers.  I could ask questions and give students time to solve the answers then click in which multiple choice answers is correct.  While I wouldn’t know which students got the questions right or wrong, I would have an idea of how the class was doing.  As you can see technology can really benefit students and the teacher which is why I would want to teach in a classroom that had more digital technology.
